Who I Am and Why I Make Clothes for Little Ones

Sewing and knitting have been part of my life for over fifty years, taught to me by my mum before I even started school. Those first afternoons at her side taught me more than stitches — they taught me how to choose fabrics that are kind to sensitive skin, how to finish seams so garments last, and how to add practical details that save time for busy parents. At Wains Wear I bring that lifetime of craft to every piece. I design with real family life in mind: soft, durable fabrics; easy fastenings; and finishes that stand up to washing and play. Thank you for trusting Wains Wear to clothe your little ones with care.

Susan, founder of Wains Wear. Sewing and knitting for 50+ years, taught by my mum. I make children’s clothes that are gentle, practical, and made to last. If you’d like to hear more about how I choose fabrics or to see new pieces as they arrive, sign up for occasional updates or drop me a message — I’m always happy to help.
